While most people buy their Christmas trees from the side of the road or the store, Oliver Cain likes to make them from alternative materials. In previous years he has used driftwood, cardboard and various other resources. This year’s eye catching tree is made from green bamboo poles and stands an impressive 5 metres tall (or smaller). He has just successfully exhibited at the Women’s Refuge Sculpture on Shore in Devonport with a large outdoor sculpture. Making this scaled up Christmas tree creates a seasonal sculpture to display and enjoy indoors. Happy Christmas.
